We are in 1994. The FC Lorient is then in national championship (the
equivalent of the d3). The good results helping, the public becomes
increasingly numerous. More and more of young people wish to support
their team more actively. Some will join the official club of the
supporters. Others will start to move with their own means and of new
covers (or rather ends of fabrics) are affixed with netting (" kop of
Lorient ", in particular). But, quickly, young people, which starts
to be interested in a style of support different from what
exists in Lorient, meet difficulties with the people accustomed to the
drums, the seats, the make-up! This season 94.95 saw the rise of the
fcl in d2.
It is truly at the time of season 95.96 that the things will move. 6
to 7 people will start to seriously think of the idea to separate from
the club of the supporters to form an independent group, 100% car -
financed and especially with ultra mentality. It is thus in December
1995 that them
merlus ultras were born and that the group was declared in official association law
1901, from the initiative of motivated people. This season was marked
in particular by the installation of the first cover and an
unforgettable displacement in Marseilles.
At the time of season 96.97, the group will become extensive with its 44 members. True " tifos "
is organized. Most beautiful animations were those of fcl-St brieuc (black tapes from where
arose fcl in white), fcl - St Etienne (white paperboards and oranges) and fcl - troyes
(candles magic, fountains and letters " 1 AN ". This " tifo " commemorated our first
anniversary). Environment is good, even very good in residence. At outside, 10 stages of
d2 saw the cover " hakes ultras ", 2 out of cut of France and 1 out of cut of the league
(Metz). At the end of the season, several members left the group (understanding that they
did not have ultra mentality), which was nevertheless made feel vocally.

Season 97.98 was that of the reinforcement of the ultra movement at
the hakes extremists. Admittedly one is only 30 members, but
everyone is behind its team and her group. The little hight number
of credits makes that environment is rather dull. She will be only
very good for fcl-bets (cut of France) and superb for fcl-Toulon the
last match in d2. The group continues on the level of animations.
Several tifos is carried out and especially succeeded: fcl - St
Etienne (orange paperboards, black tapes, banners ULTRAS), fcl -
bets (orange and white paperboards, giant cut letters fcl) and
especially Nancy (multicolored rainbow and paperboards) which remains
most beautiful to date tifo realized by the hakes extremists. The
group confirms its capacity to be moved even if the number with is
hight relatively little. The cover passed to Toulon and Nice
(displacements in stop), St Etienne, niort, Laval, troyes, red star,
Beauvais, Caen, Le havre (cut of the league) and on the stages of
the cut of France. Unfortunately the group starts to encounter
serious problems with the security (prohibitions of stage at the time

The rise in d1, hoped by all, is felt as an unquestionable joy even if the public disappoints us more and more. Moreover the relationship with the CCS was completely degraded.
